Once a child saw an old man walking down the street with a large basket on his shoulder, full of bright stars.
With a slight wave of his hand, he grabbed them from the basket from time to time and spun around as if sowing.
Then many stars shone around him like a flock of sparks
“What are you doing?” – The children asked, burning with curiosity.
“I sow good luck!” – The man answered and continued his work calmly while beautiful jewels shone between his fingers, from which, in the children’s eyes, warm colors of the rainbow spilled out.
Conquered by that beauty, the little ones immediately hurried to catch the happiness, but in vain.
Even the fastest of them was left empty-handed.
Smiling, the old man replied:
“Only when you learn to sow joy and beauty around you will be invited to the harvest of happiness.”
He who grabs it only for himself will never catch happiness.
